Syrinx - Claude Debussy
Syrinx, composed by Claude Debussy for solo flute. Interpreted by Lauren Redburn. The god Pan falls in love with the nymph Syrinx, but she doesn't reciprocate it. Syrinx turns herself into a reed to hide in the marshes. Pan cuts the reeds to make his pipes, thus unwillingly killing his (unrequited) love.
